Original Article
For the last couple of years this weekly Orienteering Bulletin has been compiled and edited by Janet Bush. Due to other commitments, Janet can no longer prepare the bulletin. We are all very grateful to Janet for her efforts and her commitment to putting a bulletin out on time each week. Accordingly we are calling for expressions of interest from anyone who would like to do the Bulletin each week:
Negatives:
It takes an hour or two each week to put the bulletin togetherFor it to be effective it must be consistent – you must be able to put aside the time each week to do it. You don't get paid for it.
Positives:
You don't need any computer skills other than using the word processor on your computer. The act of sending the completed bulletin out is completely automated. You have the opportunity to make an enormous contribution to orienteering in Tasmania. You find that after a while you get to know most orienteers in Tasmania and to have your finger on what's going on in orienteering in the State. You can go to bed each night with a warm glow of virtue!
