Michal Hubacek is a 23 year-old from the Czeck Republic. He has been studying in Finland and is taking a year off from his studies. He speaks English very well. Michal is a former Junior World Orienteering Champion in Relay (2013) and a silver medallist in JWOC Sprint in the same year. He represents a Finnish club called KooVee. Last year he was part of the team which took 8th place in JUKOLA.
We hope Michal will be here in late August / early September. He plans to stay for at least 6 months. Initially he will be staying with the Allen family and we hope other families will also welcome him into their home during his stay. Michal will not be able to do his job without a car, so will be looking to buy one soon after his arrival.
