Don’t forget to enter for this weekend’s Southern Tasmanian Championships. Entry is via Eventor and closes Wednesday 16th Sep at midnight. For those who have already entered please note that there is additional information on the event – just click on “Information Flyer” under the event on Eventor. Also remember that it is a1.8 km walk to the start. This walk is along the shoreline to enable starts right out at the point allowing a one-way trip back to the finish – well, with a few diversions on the way! High tide on Sunday is at midday so it may involve a scramble around a few fallen trees on the way to the start but rest assured, after about 500 m there are no more fallen trees and even at high tide the walk is not too bad – at least it’s flat!! A recent change to event information on Eventor now advises that courses 1-3 will use maps at 1:7500 with half the course on each side of the map sheet.
