
Pre-entry via Eventor is now open for the fourth Orienteering Series Tasmania event to be held at Stags Head, Lower Marshes west of Jericho. The full details of this event are below.
To enter, please download the 'Eventor Entry Guide' which quickly walks you through how to enter yourself and your family. Families who create a single invoice, will pick up the family discount. Entries close on Tuesday 14th April so please enter ASAP in Eventor.
Please note that casual members need to pay 'a casual entry fee adjustment' by selecting it from 'Services' in Eventor. Sportident hire and concession discounts for adult members are also available under 'Services'.

5. About This Event
This is the fourth event in the Orienteering Series Tasmania. It is also the second selection event for the state teams. The terrain is mixed bush and pasture with significant rock detail. The bush is mostly runnable and in general where bracken exists it is fairly thin and low.
6. Where Is The Start Area?
From the midland highway at Jericho, turn onto the Lower Marshes road, C529, and travel to Lower Marshes (9.7km). At Lower Marshes turn right into Rotherwood Rd and follow Rotherwood Rd for 8.5km and turn left at the gate (go past the farmhouse).
Follow the farm road for 3.2km to the assembly area.
Please ensure all gates are left as you find them. If in doubt please shut gates.

7. When Are Start Times?
Start times are between 10:00 and 12:00. There is a 10 minute walk to the start for courses 1 to 7 and 1 minute walk to the start for courses 8 and 9.
8. What Are The Courses?
Nine courses are on offer. The OST events are age based and to be official competitors are required to compete in the course appropriate for their age class.
9. What Timing Method Will Be Used?
Sportident will be used.
10. How Much Does It Cost To Enter?
$13 adults, $8 juniors (under 21) and concession holders.

11. How Do I Enter?
Pre-entry via Eventor is required to ensure map availability and to assist organisers.
12. Which Map Is Being Used?
Stags Head. Map scale for courses 1 and 2 is 1:15000, all other courses are 1:10000.
13. Any Food, Entertainment, Coaching or other special attractions?
BBQ, drinks and cakes provided supporting OT juniors.
14. Car Pooling Rendezvous Details? (Statewide Events Only)
The rendezvous location in Hobart will be the corner of Lower Domain Road and Carriage Road near the old Beaumaris Zoo gates. Suggest carpool leave at 8:30.
The rendezvous location in Launceston will be the Blockbuster car park in Wellington St. Suggest carpool leaves at 8.00.
15. What Else Do I Need To Know?
All participants in events conducted by Orienteering Tasmania and its affiliated clubs are required to register. There are two categories of registration, either as a full member or as a casual member. Further details are available on our About Membership page.
As Orienteering Tasmania events are often conducted on private property we have blanket policy of not permitting dogs at our events. Please leave your dog at home if going orienteering.
