The EVOC Northern Classic Badge event was held in wet conditions on the Stephensdale map next to Trevallyn Reserve on the 24th August, 2014. There were 62 seniors and 4 juniors vying for Senior handicap and Junior handicap honours, as well as for overall club championship. Handicaps are based on adjusted kilometre rates catering for age classes and course distances.
Overall senior winner, and Northern winner, was Brodie Nankervis (EVOC), with an adjusted rate of 5.35 minutes per kilometre, narrowly beating David Marshall (Australopers), with a rate of 5.37. A very close fought result. Third was Zoe Dowling (WROC) (5.51) with Chris Brown (EVOC) (5.57) in fourth place. It was pleasing to see the top results coming from a spread of Clubs and age groups.
The junior winner in both overall and Northern division was Jed Fleming (EVOC) in an adjusted time of 12.51. Second and third places went to Euan Best (EVOC) (21.31) and Sophie Best (EVOC) (22.41).
The club trophy is awarded to Australopers with 139 points, Followed by EVOC with 94 points, and WROC with 92 points.
