The Sandstone Valleys map offers a mixture of undulating open farmland and open forested areas with steeper slopes lined with sandstone cliffs – all criss-crossed by a network of fences. It should be a lot of fun for competitors.
There are courses for all ages and abilities with both A and B class place-getters contributing to the results for the three school trophy competitions (Aggregate Primary, Secondary Girls and Secondary Boys).
Reigning champions from 2013 are Summerhill Primary, St Michael’s Collegiate and Launceston Church Grammar … will others step up on 13th April 2014 and walk away as a champion school?
School competitors should enter on the entry form by Thursday 10th April – start times will be pre-allocated and announced on Friday 11th April.
The event is the first of three selection events for the State Schools Team (which this year travels to WA for the carnival from 27th September to 5th October).
Parents/teachers and friends are welcome to enter after all the kids have started; as non-competitors they can enter on the day.
