Orienteering Tasmania has been invited to offer orienteering as a family activity as part of this year's Bicheno festival. (Readers might recall that we were part of the Bicheno Fire Appeal Day in January.)
Valerie and I are prepared to look after the overall organisation, but we will need help on the day setting up for an 11.00 am start, and then with running the activity (between visits to the food and wine stalls and taking in the cooking demonstrations and entertainment).
The festival goes through to 5.00 pm, but we would probably finish the orienteering by 3.00. It's a very relaxed and enjoyable family day. Have a look at the website for activities: http://www.bichenofestivals.com.au
If you can help on the day, please let me know asap (johnbrammall@netspace.net.au or phone 0488 190 955). We need to know that we will have sufficient help before we make a final commitment to be involved on the day – we already have a couple of volunteers!
