Paccy Stronach and I walked our first cut of courses on the Brookstead map at Royal George last weekend. We are using the top half of the map which has never been used before. The forest there was just lovely, the wildlife profuse (wallabies, wombats and deer) and the granite formations stunning. We can guarantee this event will be fantastic. While regular orienteers will compete in A class age categories, we have A short and B classes available for less experienced orienteers. So even if you are a relative newcomer, consider giving this event a go – It is necessary to register in advance but this can be done by simply emailing your intent to compete to janhardy@iprimus.com.au .
