AutoRent Hertz car and campervan rental firm are again sponsoring OT for the Oceania Championships and World Cup round in January 2015. The company, under the management of Andrew Lovitt, has generously supported our major events since the 1992 Veteran World Cup (now the World Masters Orienteering Championships) by providing support vehicles for events, and as our “preferred hire car company” offering the best deal possible to visiting orienteers.

To assist with the promotion of Oceania at the Australian Championships later this month, AutoRent Hertz has subsidised the hire of one of their newer style Camper Cars to travel to Canberra where it will be our “information centre” at the various events. John and Valerie Brammall have rented the vehicle which is a compact converted people mover. Andrew Lovitt is keen to promote these vehicles to Tasmanian orienteers. The camper cars travel at standard car rate on the Spirit of Tasmania. It’s still not too late if you haven’t finalised your travel arrangements for Canberra! The vehicle will be stationed in the assembly areas at the Australian Championship events with promotional materials for the Oceania carnival. Any Tasmanians competing in the Australian Championships are asked to do their bit, and spend some time now and again “spruiking” the Oceania Championships.
