The MTBO works sprint championships were held on 28th August in Tapa, Estonia. Our Tasmanian team member had mixed results. In the M21 Callum Fagg from WROC was the first rider out of the starting blocks and confidently approached the first control.
"My first control was really good but I lost little bits of time in many different places. The middle distance tomorrow should be better."
Disappointingly Callum was later DQed along with a large number of other riders for entering a controversial out of bounds area.
In the M20s, EVOC rider Tom Goddard rode hard to place 15th.
"A solid ride with a few mistakes which ended up costing me a bit over a minute. I was pleased with a few fastest splits through the town area." Follow the Orienteering Australia website and Facebook pages for frequent updates.
