Time flies! There's just one event left for the year - this Wednesday at Cornelian Bay. See you there.
Who will be your coaches this Summer?
If you want to get better you can join in skills training. Sessions will be flagged on the OT Facebook Page and in future bulletins.
We have 2 new coaches to take training sessions in the north and south over summer. Starting in December, Joe Dickinson will be running sessions in the Launceston area. And in January, our new Coach in Residence, Kilian Lilje will be taking training sessions around Hobart. Kilian is from Germany and is an experienced coach and elite competitor. He will be in Tasmania until mid-March 2020.
Do you recognise me?
I was left behind at the southern Christmas Event. If you're my owner, I'll be at this Wednesday's Twilight event at Cornelian Bay. Clare Hawthorne will be dropping me off at Registration.
Imagine the Whole World Mapped as an Orienteering Map.
In collaboration with OCAD and with the help of various open map data, the young Swiss Andrin Benz has created an automatically generated orienteering map of the whole world.
The map can be accessed from any internet-enabled device. The handling and the basic functions are similar to all common map portals. You find the world's largest orienteering map here.

Thank you for using SPORTident in 2019. A few years ago we introduced the SIAC which allowed contactless and accurate timing. Our latest technology now makes it easier to create results at training sessions and small local orienteering events.
If you buy 5 SIACs (in one purchase) for your family/friends, club or training group you can receive the new SPORTident Mini Printer and the SPORTident Orienteering App with the one-year 50 subscription free of charge – all it requires is an Android phone/tablet.
